ELIGIBILITY

The competition is open to veterans, active duty military and their spouses.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

  1.  Upload a 10 minute pitch video outlining your business development and growth idea to YouTube no later than Monday, October 15, 2018 at 11:59pm CST. Pitches should be interactive, entertaining, and include all pertinent details about your business. Successful business pitches will explain the need for their business, how their business can solve this demand, and sell the judges on their product or service.​​​​​​

  2. Complete the ‘PEG Pitch Competition - Veterans Edition’ registration form and be sure to include the YouTube link to your 10 minute pitch video.

You will receive a confirmation email from Plan Empower Grow (PEG) within 72 hours of submitting your pitch.  If you do not receive a confirmation email within 72 hours, email info@PlanEmpowerGrow.org

SELECTION PROCESS

After the deadline on Monday, October 15, 2018 at 11:59pm CST:

​

  1. Judges will review and rate pitches by midnight CST October 31, 2018.

  2. Selected Semi-Finalists will receive email notification by November 1, 2018.

  3. Semi-Finalists will arrive to the identified pitch location on November 9, 2018 to formally present their 15 minute business plan with Q & A to our live panel of selected judges.  The 15-minute presentations should be interactive, entertaining, and include all pertinent details about your business. Successful business pitches will explain the need for their business, how their business can solve this demand, and sell the judges on their product or service. Props, displays, and interactive elements are encouraged. Judges will ask competitors questions about their businesses, sales numbers, market research, and other relevant data.

  4. Selected Finalists go on to present their plan during the Grand Finale for a 1 minute and 30 second “elevator pitch” at which the judges determine the winner.

All Semi-Finalists will receive written comments on their submission in order to help further refine their pitch.
